Abdulaziz chose an interesting & important problem we
are still looking at the most appropriate solutions, which is water shortage.
He began his presentation with introducing the topic, what is the water
shortage and how the water is used globally. Then he started to talk about the causes
of the water shortages, including global warming, increased world population
and climate change. And the consequences will be drought, drinking water hard
to reach, no food and bad effect on the economy. Then Abdulaziz started to talk
about the causes of water shortage in UAE. Which is the high temperature, no rivers
and it is a rainless country. Finally, Abdulaziz began offering some
suggestions and solutions to this problem, which is more education about the
water shortage and the danger of it, desalination of sea water and Pumping
wasted water into the ground after cleaning. After that he opened the door for questions.
